Alright I'm done Pouting

No more sulking...
No more whining...
No more carrying on about lost memories...
No more refusing to blog...
The strike is over...

I GOT MY NEW CANON REBEL CAMERA!!!

I can blog again. I can live again. I think I convinced everyone, myself included, that life really wasn't worth living after I left my digital camera out in the rain just before Thanksgiving. I had spent the entire day out there shooting pictures of the kids as we cut out, glittered and tied up 23 (yup, I'm crazy) pairs of angel wings for the Christmas pageant at church. I was so tired by the time Scott got home that I forgot all of the drying angel wings and my camera out in the back yard. I went too bed without a care in the world. I slept peacefully while the sprinklers and rain watered the lawn, all 23 pairs of cardboard angel wings and my favorite digital (not waterproof, or even resistant) camera. Needless to say I was devastated. We didn't have the extra cash under our mattress waiting for a rainy day or a new very expensive camera for a very irresponsible very amateur photographer.

We couldn't afford it...
I couldn't justify it...
Scott wasn't on board...
My mom warned me not to...

So I bought it!

So many new options, so different, so much fun. I'm practicing everyday so I can be ready for some great new Christmas pics. Here's an update or two.

The nursing program is crazy hard. Some mornings I'm getting up at 3 am so I can study in peace, very dim sleepy peace. Our first 5 weeks are done and I have a 97 percent. Yaaaaay me.

The kids are on winter break. They're happy, the neighbors aren't. We got a knock on the door the other morning, it was the neighbor asking if we could make the kids be quiet as they were trying to sleep. WHAT? It was 10 in the morning. What time is it acceptable to let your little boys laugh and scream and play on their swing set.

Christmas presents are purchased, wrapping will start soon. I'm already dreading that.

We're getting ready for Christmas company. Some family from the frozen tundra is heading for sunshine and warm sand.

Just sent out Christmas cards, I'll post the Christmas letter soon.
